England Athletics is a membership organisation with c1,870 member clubs/bodies and c180,843 registered athletes, which exists to provide services and support to its members and to promote and deliver athletics and running activities across all ages, event disciplines, ability levels and aspirations and to give support to the wider sport where there are more than 6m who run each month in England, 4,433 licensed road races and 207,631 active RunTogether participants operating in more than 3,686 groups.

The Role:

A vacancy has arisen at England Athletics for a Competitions Administrator, on a Maternity Cover Fixed Term Contract working 35 hours a week. To provide a high-quality administration service to the Competitions Team, which includes the Competition & Partnerships manager, Team Operations Manager, and Event Manager to effectively manage event administration duties for the department. This includes track and field championships, conferences and awards nights, where appropriate. There will on occasion be support required for domestic competition processes in addition to event duties.

The role will focus on supporting the Competition and Partnerships Manager with helping with event support and administration, finance, equipment and inventory management, event logistics and On-site Operations to assist with competition and event delivery. The role will also include coordination of meetings and presentations for workforce meetings and assisting with stakeholder communication and information management. The individual will also be the main point of contact for technical officials and volunteers prior and during EA Championships.

The individual should already have knowledge of event administration preferably in a sport environment, excellent customer service skills and communication skills. It is also important to be able to manage multiple priorities and have knowledge of social media, as well as a good level of proficiency with Microsoft packages.
