Salary: £60,000 - £65,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated, proven, energetic and creative individual to join England Athletics as its Head of Commercial Partnerships.

England Athletics is the membership and development body for athletics and running in England. We work in partnership with the wider athletics family, especially our member clubs and bodies, UK Athletics, Sport England & commercial partners, to grow opportunities for everyone to experience our sport and to enable them to reach their full potential.

England Athletics is a National Governing Body with c1,928 member clubs/bodies and c180,000 registered athletes spanning the ages of 5-91 and which exists to provide services and support to its members and to promote and deliver athletics and running activities across all ages, genders, event disciplines, ability levels and works to proactively support the wider sport where there are more than 6m who run each month in England. EA supports 21,000 licensed coaches, 4,000 licensed volunteer officials, 2,251 licensed road races and 244,050 active RunTogether participants operating in nearly 3,500 leader led running groups across the country.

EA is an integral partner to the nationwide school games programme and through its funetics programme works to ensure all school aged young people can run, jump, and throw. England Athletics has a talent and performance remit, taking over 30 international teams to represent England each year across different events and also has the responsibility of taking the athletics team to represent England at the Commonwealth Games in 2026 and including the Commonwealth Youth Games which next takes place in Malta in 2027.

We want to inspire more athletes and runners of all abilities and backgrounds to fulfil their potential and to have a lifelong love of the sport. It is our vision for athletics to become an inclusive sport where everyone belongs and can flourish. We want every participant involved in our sport, whether they are an athlete, runner, coach, official, leader, volunteer, facility operator, parent, or guardian to see and experience first-hand the guiding principles that continue to drive our work – including putting the athlete and runner first, encouraging high standards and ethical success across all aspects of our work, enhancing experiences, and working together in partnership not in isolation.

We lead a sport that is truly a playground to podium sport and activity. Our sport changes lives and is enriched by the achievements of those who have the ambition to represent their country at an Olympic and Paralympic Games but also purely to live healthier lives and to inspire others to take part. Our sport builds communities and positively impacts both physical and mental wellbeing.
